Wireless Broadband

End to end solution to provide fiber-like services by means of a new generation high capacity Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) network working in 28 GHz and 10 GHz.

If there is one significant aspect of the Internet it is the sustained growth in traffic, powered by multiple devices, applications and multimedia services. Around 80% of that traffic is originated or received at fixed user locations, thanks to the characteristics and limitless volume of data provided by fixed networks.

The deployment of New Generation Access Networks (NGAN) such as the Fiber to the Premises (FTTP) and cable networks, are enabling this growth; limited however by the economic and operative difficulties related to physical networks, most notably in areas without access infrastructure or a lower user density.

The solution to these limitations is the Wireless Broadband system developed by INSTER. This solution relies on the SGoAir product family in the Access Network segment, operating in millimeter waves to provide high capacity digital transmission in DOCSIS 3.x. standards. Two frequency bands are available: 28 GHz, optimal for areas with higher density and capacity demand, and 10 GHz for areas with higher user dispersion.

In the access, wireless links are established between a single central location (BST – Base Station) and multiple client locations (RTU – Remote Transceiver Unit) inside its area of coverage and line of sight (LoS). The coverage radius ranges from 2 km to 10 km depending on the frequencies and equipment used.

With this solution, INSTER provides a system with high availability and multiple choices for user equipment (modem-router). It also provides sustained user speeds of 100 Mbps, unlimited traffic, High Definition TV and very low latency for critical communications.

In the transport network, INSTER provides the most suitable market options for each project, such as point to point wireless links, satellite backhauling or fiber. In the service layer (e.g. IPTV, VoIP) and network management, INSTER has agreements with first-tier equipment and system providers to deliver the complete solution, according to the requirements of each customer.

Finally the customer can count on INSTER during the complete project lifecycle; starting from the development of a business plan, network planning, supply and initial set up of the equipment and services, thanks to its comprehensive engineering and project execution capabilities, and its complete range of products.
